Four pensioners were tied up and beaten during a home invasion in the mid-afternoon on Thursday in San Juan.
The victims, aged 73, 69, 67 and 63, live together at Saddle Road, San Juan.
Two gunmen reportedly forced their way into the house around 2 pm on May 8, ordering them to lie on the floor.
Even though the victims complied, the suspects began beating them about their bodies and pistol-whipping them as they complained they were taking too long to follow their instructions.
The bandits later went on to rob the four victims of TT $326 in cash and a gold chain valued at TT $3,000 before escaping on foot through the nearby river, which runs along Saddle Road, San Juan.
Nearby residents were alerted to the incident after the victims screamed for help.
The men were advised by police to seek medical attention for the wounds they received.
