Clouds, local showers expected across Greece on Easter Monday

Patchy cloud cover and scattered local showers are expected across Greece on Easter Monday.

Rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected during midday and afternoon hours over central and northern mainland regions, particularly in the mountainous areas of Macedonia, Epirus and Thessaly.

Morning and evening visibility will be locally limited, especially in central and northern regions.

Winds will be light and variable at 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the southern seas, winds will gradually shift to the east, reaching up to 5 Beaufort.

Temperatures will remain steady, ranging from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 21 to 23 degrees on the islands.

In Attica, including Athens, skies will be partly cloudy with intervals of thicker cloud cover. Winds will be light at around 3 Beaufort, with temperatures between 13 and 24 degrees Celsius.

Similar weather is forecast for Tuesday, with increasing cloudiness and brief showers or thunderstorms expected, mainly in the west and south. African dust may affect southern areas.

Unsettled conditions are expected to continue midweek, with local rain and storms likely through Friday, especially over the mainland. Winds will shift to northerly and northwesterly, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in southern seas, while temperatures will remain mostly unchanged.
