The after-effects of Tiger Woods’ health continue to impede his game on the PGA Tour. After recovering from ankle issues, the problems with the 48-year-old’s back seem to have made matters difficult for him on multiple occasions this season since his return from a prolonged hiatus. Even though Woods continues to push through the challenges before him, the thoughts of his future plans have struck the minds of all golf lovers at some point.

The possibility of him moving to the PGA Tour Champions in light of his rather pain-filled performance since his return is one such question. However, considering the eligibility criteria of the golfer being at least 50 years old, Tiger Woods’s golden reputation, and a recent confession by his ex-caddie, Joe LaCava, whom he remains in contact with, chances point toward a possibility of such a move when the star golfer becomes eligible on Dec. 30, 2025.

LaCava suggested that it is possible that the 82-time PGA Tour winner might enlighten the field of the PGA Tour Champions senior circuit four to five times a year in the future. However, in his long-time caddie’s view, he might continue to star in the majors and split his time between the two ends.

Joe LaCava’s exact words were, “I know he misses the game… I think he will test the waters on the senior tour and see if he likes it. It would be a great boost for the senior tour. … He’s at an age where I could see him playing 4-5 events out here and maybe 4-5 out there. He’s never actually said that.”

Certainly, when and if he does move to the senior circuit of the Tour, it is guaranteed that the TV ratings of the otherwise comparatively less highlighted end of the golf world will skyrocket. Keeping that in mind, how has PGA Tour Champions President Miller Brady been preparing for the golden Tiger Woods era that might take the Seniors Tour to greater heights?

No one seems happier than Brady at a chance to host Tiger Woods during his tenure as the PGA Tour Champions. When asked what preparations he has made for Tiger turning 50, a prepared Miller Brady detailed his plan, which involved a whiteboard of what-if scenarios and his entire team.

Miller said, “I took our entire team, anyone who touches the product, middle of the year last year and we gathered and started a whiteboard of what ifs, the craziest things, whatever it was, you know, come up with it. Because it’s not too early to just think through everything… I have no illusions that he’s going to come out here and play 15 times. If he plays four times, that would be fantastic. If he plays 10 times, that would be even better.”
